New ATC Control Tower Ribbon Cutting

The City of St. Petersburg has set Friday, July 15, 2011, at 10:00 AM for the ribbon cutting ceremony of the new air traffic control tower. The public is invited to tour the facility after the ceremony.

Please note that only a portion of the facility is handicapped accessible.  To reach the control tower cab, one must be able to climb stairs.  The elevator only goes to the 4th floor

The exact date for making the tower operational is not set yet.
